"Every family has a story that it tells itself, that it passes on to the children and grandchildren. The story grows over the years, mutates, some parts are sharpened, others dropped, and there is often debate about what really happened. But even with these different sides of the same story, there is still agreement that this is the family story. And in the absence of other narratives, it becomes the flagpole that the family hangs its identity from." A.M. Homes

You say Donut, I say Doughnut
I will go to my deathbed swearing that I do not eat or like doughnuts. However, today, I took my three kids to Krispy Kreme after school (they had gift certificates for free doughnuts). We ended up with four doughnuts (Eden wasn't sure if she wanted a regular glazed doughnut or one with chocolate frosting and sprinkles). She ate the glazed, I ate the one with sprinkles. It was really good.
Just an FYI - I hate doughnuts and do not eat them!
